A pretty mixtape and video tribute to David Bowie
There are Sundays where we are sad and where the desire to write a good column is not necessarily there. Today in the Lazy Sunday Mix, we are sad; we mourn the disappearance of one of our greatest idols: David Bowie. Fortunately, to cheer us up, we still have is music!
He left us. The Starman went back to his stars. Beyond his disappearance, we can rejoice in his work, in what he leaves us and in what he has bequeathed to the music’s world. And for that, I say thank you!
Few years ago, 3 years to be precise, Soulwax aka 2manydjs tried to pay a tribute to the genius of David Bowie in a one hour long video mix. Through the latter, they included everything related to the world of Bowie: original songs, covers and their production work or reworks. They tried, and for me it is successful, to show the extent of the genius and the power of Bowie. In addition to the musical mix, they offer us a video, an interstellar journey plunging us into the marvelous career of the artist. A beautiful video as good as the music. You should not miss it and watch it almost like a documentary.
