The Hip Hop in the spotlight and carved out from a vinyl record
Cb Vinyl Record Art, as you have probably already noticed, is very influenced by cultures and subcultures from the 80s to date. My love for the music and especially the Hip Hop comes back regularly in my pieces of art. Hip Hop is a very important musical movement to me. I grew up with it and Hip Hop has a special place in my life. Anyway, I had to pay homage to Hip Hop through the sculpture on vinyl record.
Run DMC carved out from wax
Who has never grooved to the sound of “Bounce”, “My Adidas”, “Rock Box” or “Walk This Way”? If not, I invite you to do so quickly. Run DMC remains, along with some others, one of the most essential and influential bands of the Hip Hop scene of the 80’s. Being born in the 80s, I almost grew up with the sound of Joseph “Run” Simmons, Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels and Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell. As an important band of my musical culture, I wanted to pay tribute to the trio by carving out from a vinyl record the symbols that characterize so much Run DMC: the hat, the glasses and the Adidas logo! And here is the result, an almost logo of Run DMC carved out by hand from a vinyl record!
