A very special golf lesson with The Nextmen. Courses based on Hip Hop, Dancehall, Reggae, Funk, Soul…
Nothing better than a Lazy Sunday Mix to listen to good music! Many of you asked us, it’s now official; the Lazy Sunday Mix has its own Facebook page. You will find on this page, every Sunday, our selection of mixes. Listen, like the page and share the info. That would be a pity if the others fail to benefit from it 😉 ! When the music is good, we like to share it!
For this Sunday selection, we offer you a great mixtape by The Nextmen. In any case, at Cb… Vinyl Record Art, we love it. On the menu, Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, Pop, Dancehall, Reggae… Nothing less!
From Cambridge in England, The Nextmen is a duo of Djs consisting of Brad Baloo and Dom Search. For over a decade now, the two accomplices perform in many clubs, festivals and assure you to bring the fire on the dancefloor with their incendiary mixtapes. Their style is eclectic, allowing them to reach a wide audience. Their genre is described as “Eclectic soul club dancehall hiphop jungle techno”, that shows just how much Brad and Dom know how to remix the musical spectrum in its entirety. And in addition, they are brilliantly doing it.
For this mixtape released in 2004 and called “Personal Golf Instructions (from Driver thru Putter)”, The Nextmen show us all their talent. It is with serious skills that they are covering Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, Pop, Dancehall… They mix together The Jackson 5, Jungle Brothers, The Roots, Positive Force, INXS, Erykah Badu and many more. The whole mixtape is interspersed with golf lessons promulgated by Arnold Palmer. In short, a mixtape that you can’t miss under any circumstances.
We love The Nextmen, if they are performing in your town, please go to see them. And as they say: “Making your neighbors complain since 1999!”.

Regarding the playlist, it is currently impossible to find it on the web. However, Dj Sherlock Ohms has tried to put it together and according to The Nextmen themselves, the result is pretty good. There are still some unknown… Help us to fill the gaps if you know the songs!
