It’s time to go back to school with the excellent mixtape of NOw FUTUR on the Boom Bap era of the Golden Age of Hip Hop

This is the last Sunday of June, I hope you will take some time for yourself and go on holidays! Before you leave, we’ll finish this first part of the year on a high note with probably one of the best mixes of the Lazy Sunday Mix!

NOw FUTUR invites us to go back to school with its mixtape “Back To School”. This is not about to reopen our textbooks but simply to reconnect with one of the most interesting periods of the Golden Era and Underground Hip Hop (mid 80’s, early 90’s): The Boom Bap!

We already have presented you this French collective that is NOw FUTUR with the very good Hip Hop mixtape : The Samples Of Sims who had the distinction of playing the original song followed by the song who sampled it.

Diner is served so come and get it with another mixtape just as good as the previous one and humbly called “Back to School”. This time, the collective focuses on the best of the Boom Bap era right before the Hip Hop miserably declines into a contest of gold chains, yachts, champagne and the largest harem… if you know what I mean!

Anyway, a mix with some EPMD, Nice & Smooth, Public Enemy, Brand Nubian… for the occasion NOw FUTUR came with the big guns! “An educative Hip Hop mix for the kids and the grown-ups to enjoy”… as they say!
