This is how my story begins with the vinyl record… and so the project Cb… Vinyl Record Art

Born in the 80’s, I was raised on Vinyl, courtesy of my parents. Inevitably, the latter became part of me, as a lover and as a supporter. One day, a question crossed my mind: What should I do with my scratched records? The answer was easy: giving them a second life.

Influenced by the culture from the 80’s to date, my work essentially turns on the symbolic and the iconography. My main sources of inspiration are the Street Art, the music, the Hip Hop culture, the exploration of the world around us and all kind of subcultures who emerged from the underground.

Giving the vinyl records a second life, it’s for me a way to show my unconditional love to the support

Exclusively working with scrap records, I turn them away from their primary use to create original and unique pieces of art entirely hand carved (No laser cut). Each vinyl record requires 20 to 30 hours of work.
