The Street Art in the heart of the Vinyl Record Art
Until the end, Street Art!
“Gloire à l’art de rue” (Glory of the street art) like used to say FF (Fonky Family, Hip Hop French band), the Street Art series holds a significant place into the Vinyl Record Art. The vinyl record is indeed embedded in the Street Culture. This support has accompanied the flow of the MC’s, has rhythmed the Hip Hop dance battles. Scratching, Sampling, Sound systems… it all comes from the vinyl.
Growing up in the 80s, Cb… was strongly influenced by the street culture and the art that it produced. This is why he pays tribute in his own way by carving graffiti and spray can on those good old vinyl records. But be careful, this does not make him a vandal. These artworks are carved out from records that are too worn out to be listened to; we just have to contemplate them.
